Dr Veronika Ruzsanyi is the deputy director of the Institute for Breath Research (IBR) at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. She holds a diploma degree in bioengineering from the TU in Budapest, Hungary and a PhD in bioengineering from the TU in Dortmund. During her PhD she was working at ISAS – Institute for Analytical Sciences in Dortmund in Germany, then she was industrial researcher at the Gesellschaft für Analytische Sensorsysteme mbH. She has over 15 years of experience in trace gas analysis and in the monitoring of volatile organic metabolites in different biological samples (exhaled air, plasma, cell cultures) involving GC-IMS, PTR-MS and GC-MS.
